Give the gift of communication

your change today will make a life change tomorrow

Your Donations' impact: generosity to results

I-ASC seeks to make spelling and the relevant supports accessible to every person who is unable to use speech as a reliable means of communication, regardless of geography, age, socio-economic or educational status. Insurance coverage and wide availability are essential to ensure access to communication for all nonspeaking people. I-ASC works daily to accomplish this goal through training, advocacy, education, and research.

Your donation helps us make communication obtainable for all nonspeakers to have equitable and supported access to all aspects of life-long education, employment, relationships, and community.

Change the life of a nonspeaker

Communication is a fundamental human right. With considerable financial obstacles for families, we don’t want finances to be a barrier to accessing communication. In 2021 we created the Speller Access Fund, which helps new spellers who need financial assistance to afford S2C sessions with a registered S2C Practitioner. Qualified new spellers receive a complete set of stencil letterboards, two workbooks, and vouchers for five sessions with a registered S2C Practitioner participating in the Speller Access Fund Program.

Sponsoring a future speller costs only $700.00.

Create more opportunities

The nonspeaking population is currently severely underserved. With over 26 million nonspeakers worldwide, there need to be more trained practitioners to teach them. I-ASC is committed to training more S2C Practitioners using best practices to increase the number of rigorously prepared S2C practitioners available to coach families and nonspeakers and increase access to communication and learning.

Sponsoring a future Practitioner Scholarship starts at $500.00.
